BIOGRAPHY & HEADSHOT – due February 15
Please provide your bio and headshot for the conference program by emailing email@example.com.
OPTIONAL POWERPOINT SLIDES – due March 22
The Program Committee encourages dialogue amongst panelists rather than individual presentations. Slides are discouraged. Please inform your session moderator if you will be using slides. Your slide deck should be designed in PowerPoint or PDF 16:9 (widescreen) format and emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
For Case Study Presenters
Please inform us in advance if your presentation includes video. Please prepare your briefing in PowerPoint or PDF 16:9 (widescreen) format and send to email@example.com. An upload link will be provided for video files. YouTube or internet-hosted videos are not allowed. Please bring a backup of your video on a thumb drive in case there are issues with the uploaded file.
About Slide Formatting
With recent changes in technology, the 16:9 format, commonly referred to as “widescreen”, has become the new standard. The 4:3 format, also known as “standard aspect ratio” is not supported in our projection plan. PowerPoint 2013 and later versions default to the 16:9 aspect ratio.
PANEL DETAILS (Moderators Only) – due March 22
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to let us know which of your panelists will be using slides and the order in which they will present their opening remarks.
Please reserve the final 5-10 minutes of your session for Audience Q&A. Audience questions will be submitted using the browser-based platform MeetingSift and will be vetted before forwarding to your conference provided iPad. The Program Committee suggests that moderators prepare 2-3 questions in case the audience does not have any.
A meeting for the moderators is scheduled each morning of the conference at 7:15 a.m. in the Founder’s Courtyard of the Maui Arts & Cultural Center. There will be a reserved table for the meeting. Please attend the day you are moderating.
Please check-in backstage for a brief orientation and if utilizing, a slide check, prior to your session. The AV Team will be available during scheduled coffee breaks and meal breaks.
Please be backstage 15-20 minutes prior to the start of your session.
Business casual or aloha. Ties are neither required or desired.
